I Laugh As I Pull So Hard and See You Swinging On the Gallows Pole

Gallows Pole has got to be one of the best stories-in-song around! (in Led Zeppelin III if you want to listen to it)
I'm Currently waiting for Queen auctions to end on ebay, it's quite addictive, this bidding stuff, isn't it? It's very much a gambling type addiction too because not only are you trying to outbid other people (competition) but you're also taking a gamble of buying what you haven't physically come in contact with...Sigh, the woes of eBay....
So my birthday is in exactly 17 days which is pretty damn soon! This year it's really creeped up on me (in contrast to other years where I've started the countdown from 90 days..) i think it has mainly to do with the fact that I'm really starting to feel old even though in the grand scheme of things 20 is just the beginning really!
Yet it feels like after 2 decades of living and breathing i should have more to offer than random jibberish in a miniscule corner of the vast Web of information.... Geez! Self pity much? I really didn't mean for it to turn into big melodramatic thing, I'm just a bit worried that as an active member of society, i may not be the best person to entrust with the future...
Oh see here's a perfect example of what i mean, there's this mature entrance woman in one of my tutorials for Uni and this woman is obviously very passionate about the environment. Fair enough if thats what she loves as i am the last person to criticize obsessions... so thats all well and good until this woman turns any subject of conversation into an environmental issue, How we (as humans) rape the Earth and that we won't survive because our air is going to run out......on and on the same arguement over and over again in different words!!! (and sometimes, quite unimaginatively, the same words..)
Well i must say that I've gotten to the point where just out of spite i want to spray aerosol cans 24/7, i want to eat burgers out old fashioned non-biodegradeable styrofoam containers and i want to drive old cars that leave a trail of harmful gases in its path to environmental hell...now is that the sort of person you want running the future?... Laughing and seeing the environment swinging on the Gallows Pole?
