Lestat=Mercury??
The first thing that gets a proper mention (inaugeration ceremony exempt) is the predominant thing in my mind at the mo'... which is the vampire chronicles (VC) by Anne rice. this is my second time reading the first three books of the vast collection and it never ceases to amaze me the depth in which these books suck you in... (no pun intended) and then before you know it, it's 5 in the morning and you've read half the book..... crazy but true
Recommendation: if anything to do with anne rice or the VC tickles your fancy read "interview with the vampire" before watching the movie and reading the other books...(cos, doi! its the first book of the series!) This is mainly so that the movie doesnt ruin your perception of the characters in the book.
Another recommendation on my personal behalf to do with the VC is to not watch queen of the damned the movie cos...well to put it nicely, i would prefer to be smeared in jam and dipped in a nest of flesh eating ants than to wish that movie upon anybody that i like or have some sort of human regard for... ouch!
My last thought for now to do with the novels is that the music of the vampire Lestat strikes me that it would sound like songs made by Queen, with the preternatural voice of freddie mercury and the powerful force of the band as a whole would be perfect to awaken the inhabitants of the shrine of Those who Must be Kept..?
